Preventive Treatment for High Voltage – Why It Matters and How to Do It A high-voltage connection is a connection that serves many electricity consumers,
In recent years the matter of contractors in Israel has been formally regulated. Today, any contractor who wants to operate lawfully and properly, to build a reputation for reliability and professionalism with clients, to take out good insurance policies, to gain access to large tenders and more, must be registered in the Registrar of Contractors. That applies to registered electrical contractors too.
To be a registered electrical contractor, you have to meet a number of strict threshold conditions designed to ensure the title is granted only to those who deserve it:
As a certified electrician with extensive experience, a registered electrical contractor can carry out any work a certified electrician can – but their specialist training allows them to deliver far larger and more complex projects.
Their main role is to design and install complex electrical systems in the public, commercial and even private sectors. Beyond that, they are the ultimate authority on everything to do with the functioning of the electrical system in the building they oversee, exactly like a building contractor.
Once the system is installed, it remains for the contractor to call in the electric company for an inspection to confirm the system is sound and meets the standards, to make improvements where needed in line with the electric company's guidance, and to verify that the system they designed and installed for you functions properly over the long term.
Registration in the Registrar of Contractors is public and open to everyone. A quick check on the Registrar of Contractors website will tell you whether your contractor really is listed in the register, or is simply using the title "contractor" for commercial purposes.
On the government site you can also see their classification, so you can confirm they really are authorised to carry out the type of work you need.
It is also worth checking references and their previous electrical works, to get a sense of their level of professionalism and service as well as how well they communicate; comparing quotations so you choose the professional who gives you the most for your money; and, of course, meeting them face to face to form a personal impression.
