A Word from the CEO

"Men are made for one another; either then teach them, or bear with them."
Marcus Aurelius

"We are all caught up in this race called life. We work to support ourselves, and mostly we do it from the self-interested point of view of 'what does this give me / my family?'

Today I want to share with you a slightly different project – not an electrical or communications project, and not another blockbuster job breaking a new record, but our life's project: 'Giving Back to the Community', which we take care to preserve and nurture in a variety of ways.

As part of our contribution to the community, we employ released prisoners (convicted of minor offences) whose luck did not favour them – in most cases because they grew up in deprived neighbourhoods, or in families who lacked the means to raise their children for one reason or another.
After their release from prison, these prisoners go through up to a year of rehabilitation, which they undergo in a hostel for released prisoners that gives them a framework for a fresh start.

Extensive research carried out around the world has shown that providing employment to these former prisoners – who usually struggle to find work because employers and companies don't want the 'headache' – helps them integrate into society and enter a 'clean' and secure life path in the best possible way.

Employing these people requires a great many hours of help from us, both personally and financially, which we provide day in, day out.

Our small contribution is measured not only in providing steady work and rehabilitation within the community, but also in building a 'business plan' for those being rehabilitated, which helps them manage the debts they accumulated during their time in prison.

From my own experience, I have come to know very good workers with very high ambition to get ahead in life and in their careers.

For more than two years now we have been glad to help these people, and we continue to do so with great love."

A Word from the CEO | Eyal Adar

The David Fund

The idea behind the David Fund is to continue the path of the late David Adar, who passed away on 14 Adar I, 5771.

David volunteered in the community all year round, as a community security coordinator and at the Moriah station as an officer in the Israel Police. The main part of his activity was within his volunteer police service, after he had already completed his full volunteer service in the reserves as a combat medic.

In memory of the late David Adar

Among the character traits that stood out in him were diligence and a love of people, and his commanders quickly discovered his strong desire to give to society. They recommended him for officer training and he also took part in a number of courses on their behalf.

Over the years his advancement soared, to the point of his appointment to the rank of Chief Superintendent, and he even received a citation of excellence from the then President, the late Shimon Peres.

Alongside Adar Electric's aspiration to grow and develop, David's fine values accompany us too, in giving and contributing to the community.

In this moral commitment, we believe that our contribution is deeply important to society in particular and to the Israeli community as a whole.

Employing and rehabilitating released prisoners

We help rehabilitate released prisoners who were imprisoned for minor offences and who usually come from hard-pressed families and a way of life they did not choose to grow up in.

By employing them, we lift them out of the cycle of hardship while building a long-term work plan – which sometimes depends on taking out loans in order to clear the employee's existing debts, so that they can enter the world of work "on the right foot".

Rosh Hashanah gift packages for children with cancer at Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital

As part of our efforts to contribute to society, we make a point of involving our employees in a variety of heart-opening activities, such as: Handing out gift packages for Rosh Hashanah to children with cancer at Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital, to raise morale and lift spirits.

Donation to the Lev Malka association

Our donation to the "Lev Malka" association enables sick children, who have found themselves living a far from easy daily routine, to purchase medicines and even to go on trips around the country.
